Where better to sit down with over 100 people representing about 30 agencies, all committed to better youth outcomes, than the home of our Governor General, Dame Patsy Reddy, Government House.
It was the setting for a day of frank and informative discussions, hosted by Scouts NZ and moderated by myself. It was a real privilege, especially to use all of our corporate tools around collaboration, the 'bread and butter' of my world, to map a 'way forward'. The scene was set by Judge Andrew Becroft, the Childrens Commissioner, a sobering scene that it is.
I know we will see some real tangible actions with agencies working even closer than ever before. My thanks to all involved and especially Scouts NZ for the invitation to have such a close involvement in a pivotal forum.
